Sam Saunders
Sam is a Senior Property Consultant based in our Tauranga office.
Joining TPG in 2012, Sam is involved in providing property development consultancy, planning and delivery, programme and project management. He has held positions in project management, development management, cost management and acquisition negotiations. He has extensive knowledge in dealing with public and private land and has negotiated and acquired numerous property interests of all types.
During his time with TPG, Sam has been seconded to the Ministry of Education to manage property modifications across a number of schools in the Auckland region, managing architects, quantity surveyors and contractors on a day to day basis.
Sam has been involved with a number of projects for both public and private clients, including feasibility studies on the highest and best uses for the site to identify the optimum outcome for the property, right through all phases of the project from funding to design and construction and stakeholder management.
Sam’s in-depth work with the Public Sector means that he knows the Public Works Act 1981 like the back of his hand. He has worked closely with the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) on a number of property acquisition and disposal assignments.
Sam has also been involved in many site selection and due diligence assessments including purchasing land on behalf of government agencies and private clients.
He is well experienced in development management and has provided advice for a number of clients including design and delivery project management of a large retail development for a leading NZ retailer. Sam has built good relationships with both clients and suppliers and is well respected in within the property industry.
