Matthew Bannister

Matthew is a Property Consultant based at TPG’s Christchurch office.

Matthew has spent the last few years managing the negotiations of large and complex property acquisitions on behalf of clients in New Zealand’s private sector. Some of Matthew’s strong points are negotiations, property due diligence, and property amalgamations.

In Matthew’s previous background in the aviation sector, he was responsible for reviewing, reporting on and implementing international airside regulatory policy frameworks that had yet to be applied to the New Zealand market.

Being born and raised in Christchurch, Matthew is well versed in Canterbury based property. Most recently running his own private property acquisition company, he understands both the commercial and people side of business. With proven competence in both residential and commercial property focusing in the private sector, Matthew is looking to apply this experience in the public space.
