Iain Smith

Iain is Team Leader - Corporate Counsel based at TPG’s Wellington office.

Iain leads the Wellington legal team to provide legal services in the Wellington region. Iain qualified as a Solicitor in 2008 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2009.

Joining TPG in 2009, Iain has a broad range of experience in dealing with public land, reserves, airports, and the acquisition and disposal of land under the Public Works Act 1981. He has advised in relation to a number of high-profile roading projects including the SH1 MacKays to Peka Peka Expressway, Transmission Gully, and the Christchurch Northern Arterial.
